He has embarrassed us, and betrayed us. Unfortunately the SCGOP Leadership will not renounce him … party party party ya know … but there are patriots across the state who will work for and donate to and support a conservative candidate to run against him, and we welcome help from outside the state. ’cause his votes and more importantly his fawning over the people in power on the other side of the aisle affect the entire nation.

Like a lot of you, I’ve been concerned about the general direction our Nation has drifted, but have stayed on the sidelines, concerned with raising a family, etc. Now, for the first time in my life, I’m actually afraid of where we’re going, and that we’re being hijacked to get there! Hey, I was a child of the 60′s, too, but not all of us hated our nation!

My name is Don Weaver, President of the South Carolina Association of Taxpayers (SCAT). What is SCAT? Since 1982 we have been gathering information about state taxes and spending, and delivering it to our members, to state government officials and to the public. We are an independent, privately funded research group whose purpose is to encourage government to work more efficiently. We study the way South Carolina Officials spend money and formulate tax policies. We keep track of bills being considered by the Legislature that relate to fiscal policy, and urge lawmakers to either support or oppose them. We are an educational, non-partisan, and non-profit organization. When we think it’s necessary, we submit our own legislation…..
