From … Seanna Adcox of PostandCourier reports on Gov-elect Nikki Haley’s chat with the Prez.

Haley says she told Obama that South Carolina could not afford the health care mandate, and that it would cripple small businesses.

“I respectfully asked him to consider repealing the bill,” she said, to which he clearly stated he would not. “I pushed him further and said if that’s the case, because of states’ rights, would you at least consider South Carolina opting out of the program?”

Obama told her he would consider letting South Carolina opt out, she said, if the state could find its own solution that included a state exchange, preventing companies from bumping people for preexisting conditions and allowing insurance pooling.

and…

Haley said she also asked the president if he would honor the federal government’s commitment on developing a nuclear waste repository. When he said he would not revisit opening Nevada’s Yucca Mountain, “I said, ‘Then give us our money back.’ “

I’ve seen “pot stirring” going on lately on email lists and blogs by folks who have an ax to grind, an agenda to fill, or just have a “LOOK AT ME ME ME ME MEEEeeeee!” inferiority complex asking why Jim DeMint hasn’t come out in support of Nikki Haley. No matter how many times it is pointed out that DeMint has supported Haley through the campaign, they are determined to jump up and down and wave their figurative hands in the air with their GREAT DEDUCTIVE POWERS of his lack of support.

So for those immature needy self focused folks … HERE. (Do you know how to bookmark in case you need reminding?)

Stand With Nikki Haley by Jim DeMint at Redstate.

And most importantly for our state, I encourage you to stand with Nikki Haley this Tuesday and vote for her to be our next governor of South Carolina. Nikki is a commonsense conservative leader that will help move our state forward. Nikki will be a strong governor that will stand up to Washington’s attempts of overreach into issues that should be handled at the state and local level. She will fight to cut wasteful spending and reduce taxes to encourage job growth and a strong state economy.

The Garnet Spy has this today. You’ll want the read the entire article, and he’ll be writing more on this subject.

Russ also read and commented on this this morning on WORD radio.

One of the scenarios is for the plotters to acquire photographs or video of an Indian porn star that resembles Nikki Haley. India has a robust porn industry and a few American dollars go a long way in the sub-continent.

The plan is to have images from a third person – “hidden camera” – point of view. Since details of purported trysts have been publicized, including venues and settings via “affidavits,” the videos or photographs can be more plausibly staged. Real, unaltered images are preferred to avoid the potential for flaws that would, under scrutiny, reveal or even suggest tampering.

There is a debate between Haley and Sheheen tonight at 7:00 PM.
