<p>March 1, 2010</p>
<p>It will come as  no surprise to gun owners that some politicians think they should be able to  enjoy certain privileges that the rest of us mere citizens should not  get.</p>
<p>Well, those same politicians are at it again here in South  Carolina!</p>
<p>H. 4112 would let politicians in the SC General Assembly (and  certain other public officials) who possess a concealed weapon permit (CWP)  carry a self-defense firearm virtually anywhere in the state.  But will this  bill allow YOU same freedom?  NO!</p>
<p>Why should politicians have privileges  greater than the rest of us mere mortals?  H. 4112 is an example of how  politicians seem to forget the fact that they are public servants, not our  masters.</p>
<p>GrassRoots GunRights strongly opposes H. 4112 as currently  drafted.  GrassRoots still believes the words &#8220;We hold these truths to be  self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their  Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and  the pursuit of Happiness.&#8221;</p>
<p>Evidently, some SC politicians do not think SC  citizens should be treated as their equals.</p>
<p>H. 4112 will be discussed at  a meeting of the House Judiciary General Laws Subcommittee on Wednesday morning.  H. 4112 needs to either be amended to provide the same carry privileges for ALL  CWP holders.  Otherwise, H. 4112 needs to die.</p>
<p>ACTION  STEPS:</p>
<p>1)    Call each member of the House General Laws Subcommittee  (phone numbers below) and tell them the following:</p>
<p>&#8220;I strongly urge  you to Vote NO on H. 4112!  No special privileges for politicians!  If it&#8217;s good  enough for YOU, it&#8217;s good enough for ME.  GrassRoots GunRights speaks for  me!&#8221;</p>
<p>2)    Email each member of House General Laws Subcommittee with  the same message.  Copy and paste the below e-mail addresses onto the To: line  of an e-mail, copy and paste the letter into the body of the e-mail, and add  your name and town at the end.</p>

<p>Businessman John Moore will officially begin his campaign this Thursday, February 25, 2010, at noon inside the manufacturing facility for Blue Ridge Log Cabins.  This will be open to the public and all are invited to attend.</p>

<p>(Spartanburg, SC – January 11, 2010) The College Republicans from <a href="http://www.wofford.edu/admission/">Wofford College</a><br />
and the Young Republicans from Spartanburg County are teaming up to host a debate<br />
between the three republican candidates for Lieutenant Governor, <a href="http://www.ardforsc.com/">Ken Ard</a>, <a href="http://voteconnor.com/">Bill Connor</a> and <a href="http://www.votetimscott.com/">Tim Scott</a>.<br />
The event will be held at 7:30pm on January 21, 2010. <a href="http://www.newsradioword.com/pages/192915.php">WORD</a>’s Bobby McLain will<br />
moderate the event which will be held in Leonard Auditorium which is inside the Main<br />
Building on the Wofford College Campus. Entrance to the event is free and a limited number of sponsorships are available. Sponsors will be recognized in the program and have priority seating at the event.</p>
<p>The newly elected Chairs of both organizations, Ron Jolly for Spartanburg YR’s and<br />
Ellen Shrader for the Wofford CR’s are hoping to educate the public about the campaigns<br />

something different to offer and this will be a great opportunity for the local residents to<br />
