Bottom line; there’s a ton of factors and a website is really just worth what someone is willing to pay for it that entices someone else to want to sell it.  That said, most are based on annual revenue with a variety of other factors calculated in as a multiplier.

In researching I found a site called Cube Stat that claims to be able to analyze the worth of your website.  So, I couldn’t help but plug in a couple for fun:

Google = $2.1 Billion!

Yahoo = $547.5 Million!

Okay… so then I wondered if the worth of political sites could tell us who the front runner may be:

Tim Pawlenty = $246,484

Gary Johnson = $5,928

Newt Gingrich = $4,947

Herman Cain = $2,949

Rick Santorum = $1,554

Okay… this really doesn’t seem a likely method to replace a scientific poll any time soon, but I couldn’t resist one more, small piece of fun:

www.Redstate.com = $181,940

www.SpartanburgTeaParty.org = $624.15

Yep… we have a long way to go…
