Spartanburg Tea Party Endorses Haley, Connor, Zais

The Spartanburg Tea Party is proud to endorse:

Nikki Haley for Governor
www.nikkyhaley.com

No one should doubt Nikki’s strength of character and her determination to right the wrongs done to South Carolina taxpayers by the present ethics stained SC Congress. We are thirsting for reform, for common sense, for a leader who will not compromise, who will not go along, who will bring the people’s voice back to governing. Nikki brings a singular focus to Columbia, to reform our state government while protecting our state sovereignty.

Bill Connor for Lt. Governor
www.voteconnor.com

Bill Connor is exactly the “everyman patriot” South Carolina needs to pull our state out of the clutches of the stagnant and corrupt GOP leadership and the maddening scenario of politicians who go to Columbia and take leave of their senses. Ordinary people know better than to spend what we don’t have and fritter away legislative sessions without any reform; ordinary people are smart enough to recognize we’ve been played by our current crop of elected officials. We look forward to Bill, an ordinary man, standing up for us.

Mick Zais for State Supt of Education

Could not have articulated better, the need for representative government, not the dictatorial state currently in SC State House. They have administered “lock down” with our state budget for far too long. The 30 year terms have got to stop. We all know who they are.

I know STP is primarily a news site, but in light of your recent endorsement of Nikki Haley, how about ditching Fits News and replacing it with the more respectable, more informative, more honest, Christian-run, SChotline.com?

What a breath of fresh air it would be to have two state leaders who are committed to openness, conservatism and changing the status quo in Columbia.

  4. Karen Martin - June 14, 2010

thanks for that observation, yep will ditch FITS!

Too bad Nikki Haley is endorsed by Sarah Palin, that only makes her look bad.

“how about ditching Fits News and replacing it with the more respectable, more informative, more honest, Christian-run, SChotline.com?”

What is “respectable” or “honest” about a guy who has his website shut down because he doesn’t pay his bills? Reminds us of a certain candidate who ran for congress and stiffed many of those working for her… birds of a feather…

Mike, you must have been given incorrect information. The Jeffrey campaign paid all of its bills. One of the vendors made some billing mistakes. I am sure he has them straightened out now. You should be careful about accusations which involve defamation of character. It’s a sin, you know, and it is that sin which keeps some of our best people out of politics. Of course, bad people want to keep good people out of anything in which they, the bad people, are involved. You and I both know good from bad, respectable from its opposite and honest from dishonest. If the Republican Party wants to succeed, it will have to make a real effort to rid itself of rumor-mongering, libel, slander and defamation. Call me if you have questions. I can be reached at the Government Department, Wofford College.

Here’s the reason that the “respectable, informative, honest, Christian-run” SChotline.com will never appear on our news blog roll … a tweet sent in June 2010:

    SCHotline
The overly educated R voting MOFFLY… ovr that POS skinny ass freak of a dumbass Mickey Zais & his sidekick BigBoy, Effing homos #sctweets

    Christina, really?

“You should be careful about accusations which involve defamation of character.”

    Really?

I know you could never say this with a straight face the way you trash people. You think you are talking to your friends when you run people down and “plant seeds” in attempts to ruin people. You’ve done this in my presence so many time with your innocent little questions phrased like push-polls. Push-polls are illegal for a reason you know? And your idiotic belief that your ability to phrase slander as a question somehow lets you off the hook in the eyes of God or the eyes of courts is laughable. You should be very careful of those you believe are your friends. We are tired of hearing you talk out of both sides of your mouth…

Responding to Karen: I am shocked by the ugliness of the SCHOTLINE quote and respectfully request that you take it down along with all of mine and all posts referring to me. I have been informed that SCHOTLINE’s former owner had some serious problems, reflected in that ugly quote. It is not fitting for a family-read publication. Your point is made and well-made. There was no moral difference between both blogs and I congratulate you for taking down FITS as well. This website should be family-friendly. We need places to send students to read unbiased news. I also call on you to remove the slander and libel about me.

I want you to remove my name wherever it appears on this site. The Dean at Wofford suspended me last year because of things like this and I will be suspended again if it does not cease and desist. I don’t think you want to be held responsible.

I am requesting removal of my name and my posts and all posts about me from the Spartanburg TeaParty site. Slander and libel are given a lot of press protection, but when someone’s ability to engage in business or practice a legitimate profession is affected, the courts are less indulgent. That is why these reputation-cleaning outfits are able to get people like you to comply with requests like this. Please do this right away.

To “Janet” AKA Kerry Wood: I have no friend who would write of “push polls” in the manner of the above. I am sorry you are not familiar with the Socratic method or able to discern genuine intellectual interest from a desire to defame. Projection can cause that kind of confusion, but it is just as likely that there is no real basis for your complaint, if there were, you would have the courage to use your own name, as you did when you went after George Clements on this site and accused him, falsely, of working for me.
